The Municipality of Naxos and the Small Cyclades and The Stelida Naxos Archaeological Project proudly present: Neanderthals on Naxos! The Prehistoric Archaeology of Stelida, featuring exciting new evidence for the oldest site and earliest humans in the Cyclades! This is the first ever public exhibition about the globally-important discoveries from Stelida.
Supported by Mr Manolis Margaritis, the Mayor of Naxos and the Small Cyclades, and the Canadian Institute in Greece, the exhibition’s aim is to share our groundbreaking discoveries with a local and international public audience.
The Stelida Naxos Archaeological Project is pleased to welcome the public to its opening event on April 14, 2018 at 20:00 located at the Naxos Cultural Centre (former Ursuline School), with special presentations by project co-director Dr Tristan Carter and Dr Stelios Lekakis, specialist in Naxian cultural heritage.
